Nasturtium Capers
Make your own homegrown “poor mans capers” by using nasturtium seeds from your garden or allotment.
Ingredients
Nasturtium Seeds
(still firm & green)
White wine vinegar
Salt
(or to taste)
Peppercorns
(slightly crushed)
Directions
- Gather the ingredients.
- Rinse and drain the nasturtium seeds and blot them dry on paper towels.
- Pour the seeds into a 1-pint canning jar.
- Bring the vinegar, salt, and pepper to a boil and pour over the seeds.
- Seal and refrigerate the jar, then let them sit for about 3 months. Then enjoy!
