J U L Y ☀️
And just like that the first day of the second half of the year is nearly over. Not much happening this month aside from the Wimbledon woman’s singles final on the 12th followed that of the men on the 13th. The 14th is a bank holiday in Northern Ireland. On the 15th is St Swithin’s day. The 23rd is the birthday of Haile Selassie (Rastafarian)
July’s full moon falls on the 10th and is called the Hay moon, Wyrt moon or Mead moon 🌾🌱🍯🍺
In the garden things are growing on and on, the greenhouse is burying with life, funny growing bell peppers, a tiny papaya tree 🥹, lots of tomatoes, the first two luffas that look to be successfully pollinated (do check my blogs on the luffa grow along).

The food-forest is still at a standstill in the sense of me finishing it. But, my hands are starting to itch again to crack on with it. Some of the first things to do though is *finally* plant out the blackberry, hardy geranium, hyssop, creeping chamomile, creeping thyme, normal chamomile, comfrey, oxeye daisies, bergamot, lots of dahlias still to go out, and a big reshuffle of plants to go in pots incl my new fig and arnica montana and I’m sure I’m forgetting half of it.
Lots of diy to still do too so let’s see what this month brings!
Happy July ☀️
